we arrived at the butterfly valley at the end of September, where there were hardly any butterflies left as the season for them is in August. it is a beautiful piece of nature that they have done a lot to make it possible to walk in the hilly terrain. it is not expensive to come in to see it.

We went at the end of September so there weren't many butterflies (counted two different species). But we encountered various crabs and valley itself was beautiful. Walked there about two hours, many platforms and stairs. Definately worth going earlier in summer.
Wish there were some informative signs about route and butterflies

It's a bit of a climb through the woods but the water falls and their pools make a nice distraction from the toil. The butterflies were ending their life cycle when we went (Sept) but they were plentiful as were the fresh water crabs! The monestry at the top of the climb is small but quite beautiful inside and the views demand a photo or two. I'd recommend unless your less mobile.

Nice valley for hiking. Only one kind of butterflies were up to attraction. What is ridiculous in the park, that the public toilet entrance opens for 50 cent coins only (most of tourists do not have them prepared ). This makes Basic human physiological needs and hygienic issues for the visitors. After an entrance fee a free public toilet should be available for their visitors. At least make contactless bank card payment available at the toilet entrances.

Hidden gem of the island, feels like you are not even near the cities. Very pleasant to take a long walk ( need proper shoes - not flip flops like most tourists, water and about 2 hours ) and enjoy the cool air. If you are alert you cans spot butterflies everywhere, they fly above your head, under you feet. Please respect the rules and don`t make noise. The crabs somehow stole the show, the are so lovely, looks like they are smiling. Great place to bring your kids, for the the entry is for free, 5 euros is for adults.
