Have had authentic egusi soup with pounded yam before, and I wanted it again. Atiga delivered with a generous, shareable portion that was just as my friend had made for me years ago. Ordered delivery and my biggest complaint was the messy packaging (containers hadn’t been wiped down).
If you haven’t had African food before, this is a great entry point to try a staple that isn’t too exotic. Eaten with hands, the pounded yam is a lot like mashed potato but more glutinous. You can dip it and eat the soup with it for a fun experience!
Overall, would definitely order the egusi soup and pounded yam from Atiga again!
