If you are driving onto the GW Bridge from the West Side Highway, be very careful going around the loop taking you up to the bridge. Right beside the highway is an hellacious abomination: A Peter Lundberg sculpture!
Keep your eyes fixed firmly on the road and definitely don't look to the right, you should be OK. However if you live in this neighborhood and like to visit this park, please tell the appropriate city officials you want this piece removed.
Art in public places is great, if it can truly be called "art." This thing however is an hellacious abomination. Not to mention a traffic hazard. How many people have caused accidents by swerving when they thought "a monster was jumping out at them from the side of the road"? I swerved within my lane when I drove past it, but some may not be able to avoid crossing into the other lane.
