Did my first Omventure escape room last weekend with a group that had done all the ones at the Markham location before. We picked The Red Admiral room, which was marketed as 4/5 difficulty - and it definitely was! This is definitely the most challenging escape room I've done, and I've done quite a few.
My main issue was that while the puzzles were difficult, the design of the room had some flaws. Hard to elaborate without going into details of the puzzles, but there was one glitch (and we were told afterwards it was a glitch) that really had us running in circles. I also found it so difficult to read some of the words required for solving the puzzles due to the dim lighting in most of the rooms. Of course the lighting added to the atmosphere, but added some unnecessary challenges that didn't have anything to do with solving the puzzles.
If everything had gone smoothly the flow of the room does seem quite good and the puzzles are unique and challenging. The room is also a great size and you could definitely play with a group of 8 while having space and activities for each person to do. With our group of 5 it was just enough to do each puzzle, but a few extra bodies wouldn't have hurt.
I'd come back for other puzzles but hopefully those rooms are newer / don't have any glitches.

I live very close to Wako Sushi but never thought to try it as it's rarely busy which usually isn't a good sign for a restaurant. I finally ordered two bento boxes on the Skip the Dishes, which I found to be pretty average. The price is a bit high, at $24, but it was quite expensive for a bento box of this quality. I found my chicken teriyaki to be quite bland, I wish it was grilled with a bit more fire to get a charred taste. The salmon sashimi that was included was also not the best, although the slices were quite thick and the portion was good. Not to say I didn't think it was fresh, but I just didn't enjoy the texture or taste overall. The tempura, miso soup and salad were all okay.
I probably won't be back as there are plenty of better sushi and Asian restaurants in the Yonge and Finch area.

Gyubee is a franchise done correctly. I live very close to the Markham one but it's always so busy, so I usually go to the Scarborough one. This week I tried my luck at the Markham location for lunch, and we were quoted a 1 hour wait so we decided to wait. We did end up getting a table exactly after the estimated time, which was much appreciated since we even had gone to the Costco nearby to kill time. We had arrived at 12:15 which is right after their opening at 12, and a few minutes after we signed up I noticed 20 more tables after us. So make sure to sign up as early as possible! Yelp waitlist opens only at 12:30 so that's probably why there was a huge number after us.
The lunch menu is very good for $30. Yes, the dinner menu ($40) has a lot more items, but it's rare to find a good AYCE for $30 nowadays. Especially compared to other places like Shinta, that don't even offer a cheaper lunch menu. You can check their website for their menu and see that they offer some great cuts of beef for lunch, as well as my favorite bibimbap. The seating time is 1 hour 45 minutes which is very long for lunch.
The service was fast and I felt no need to push myself to eat an unholy amount since it was only $30. The only thing I didn't love was the thick pork belly, which is more of a recent addition to the menu. Another recent addition is the chicken thigh, which actually cooks so well on the grill and gets a great char. But overall they have a great lunch selection and I'll definitely be back!

Brought my friends from out of town (I am from out of town too) and it was a HUGE hit. Wah Fung is a staple in NYC Chinatown and I come here every time. The taste, the value - can't be beat. The BBQ pork is amazing and has the most amazing sweet glazed taste and texture. The special now is a small BBQ Pork or Chicken on rice for $5.50, which is an amazing deal. It's put in a small tin tray that is packed to the brim with rice, veggies, and meat. We ordered 10 and everyone devoured theirs.
Two of my friends did get the chicken option but after trying the BBQ pork, understood why I told them that the BBQ was a classic for Chinese BBQ. I'd definitely recommend the BBQ pork unless you have a dietary restriction - in that case, I'd probably recommend the BBQ Duck! It's not part of the special but I believe a small is still only $7. If you're more hungry, they also do multiple meat platters and I'd recommend the crispy pork and BBQ pork combo.
There was a line when we arrived around 3PM on Friday, which is normal. The line moves relatively fast when the people in front of you know what they want, and we got through in around 20 minutes. Wah Fung only takes cash, but you can probably tell by looking at the place. There is also a park across the street which is the perfect place to take a seat and enjoy your Chinese BBQ, as obviously there is no seating in this tiny restaurant.
What more can I say except you need to try this.

It's a decent venue. The rooms are really big and pretty modern. They say no smoking on the door but clearly the place reeks of smoke, there are even employees sitting in rooms with the door wide open smoking cigarettes. Our room was surprisingly odor free, which is weird because the hallways and washroom stank.
The bottle prices are very reasonable. One thing I will say, I drank around 10 shots and didn't even feel tipsy. If you can, try and get them to open the bottles in front of you since I'm fairly certain it was not 100% alcohol or else I would've at least felt a bit drunk. 10 shots guys!!
Their song selection system SUCKS. If you search an artist manually it'll say no results, but if you go through the hundreds of pages of songs manually the artist will show up. I don't know how a search function can just not work as it's a very important part of the KTV experience. They should work on fixing that.
